TREKKING 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS
Chiang Mai – Mae Taeng – Northern route of Chiang Mai Highway
No. 1095 off Highway No.107. 90 kms.

       Day 1. At 8.00 we leave by mini-bus to drive for one hour to visit an elephant camp at Maesa to see the elephants doing their work routine. We see them performing a musical talent show and dancing, then a demonstration of how the elephants sleep, play football and work with paint brush and easel. This has now been entered into the Guiness Book of records. After the visit we go to the local market at Mae Ma Lai. Here we can see the hill-tribe people of Lisu and Lahu selling their handicrafts. At the market we buy food for our dinner after the market. Next we go to the Mork Fa Waterfall and then to the Hot Springs. And we enjoy lunch on the way at a local roadside restaurant. After lunch we proceed to the Hot Springs. On completion of our visit to the Hot Springs we then trek for 2 hours to White Karen village. Where we will have dinner and stay overnight.


       Day 2. After breakfast. We set off to trek for 2 hours to another White Karen village. Then trek for an hour and a half to the elephant camp where we have lunch.  After lunch we will go elephant riding for about 1 and a half hours to the Red Lahu village.  Where we will have dinner and stay overnight.


       Day 3. After breakfast. We go bamboo rafting along the Mae Taeng River for 2 hours to the Thai village of Sopkai. Where we enjoy lunch. After lunch we return to Chiang Mai. On the way we stop to visit the Chiang Mai Orchid and Butterfly Farm (There are 1,500 varieties of orchids and 800 different kinds of butterflies from around Thailand)
